Right now, the sun is out. There's a fair amount of cloud around too, though, and we might get some more snow falling by lunchtime.


Clearer skies are forecast again for tomorrow, though it should be keeping fairly cold.


Changes to mountain operations from tomorrow... see below. I will reorganise the list as well in my report tomorrow.


Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon as reported by the ski area:

Yamabiko: 0cm

Uenotaira: 0cm

Hikage: 0cm

Nagasaka: 0cm

Karasawa: 0cm


Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 280cm

Uenotaira: 245cm

Hikage: 170cm

Nagasaka: 170cm

Lifts & courses:

All courses open apart from Grand Prix, Kurokura and Challenge 39

The Utopia pair lift and Challenge pair lift are normally closed on weekdays

The ski area plans to be open until Tuesday 6th May


Scheduled spring season operations from Monday 31st March:


Nagasaka gondola and Yamabiko quad lifts:

Open daily until 6th May


Skyline pair, Uenotaira quad lift and Paradise quad lift:

Open April 5th/6th, 11th-13th April, 19th-20th April and 26th April through 6th May
