It's the last day of March. We have fresh snow. And adjusted ski area operations.

Right now, the sun is out. There's a fair amount of cloud around too, though, and we might get some more snow falling by lunchtime.

It has been snowing in the early hours of this morning and the ski area is reporting up to 9cm as of 8:12am. My measurement is 8cm.

It is a rather dull and cloudy/overcast morning (a bit brighter earlier on).

I was a bit naughty this morning. I spent a few hours over at Madarao. Blame my visiting friends. And, sorry, Naski.

More snow, hurray, with it still snowing. Seems to have started in the middle of the night, with the ski area already reporting up to 15cm of fresh on the mountain.

Yesterday temps got up to just under 10C in the village and there as a bit of a southerly wind.

Kind of a dusting plus to report this morning and I can just about justify the 1cm in this report. Currently, it is just under 0C in the village.

Morning from a cold early early-March Saturday morning in Nozawa.

Since yesterday morning the ski area has reported as much as 36cm of snowfall up at Yamabiko with 17-31cm in lower sections. I measured 23cm.

After some unappealing wet and wind yesterday, we have a kind of a dusting and I am just about able to justify the 1cm in this report.

Just over 5cm of (on the wet side) snow but it is definitely a windy morning. That might affect operations today, though the gondolas do seem to be opening as planned.
