New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 1047cm

Good morning (just) from Nozawa.

I was a bit naughty this morning. I spent a few hours over at Madarao. Blame my visiting friends. And, sorry, Naski.

Both over at Madarao and here, it has been a fine morning. There was quite a lot of fresh snow over there; less so over here, but the ski area has reported up to 15cm on the mountain since yesterday.

Like I said, a fine morning to be out and about. It is busier than a normal weekday due to today being a national holiday.

Rising temps due over the coming few days and probably a lot of sunshine.

Fresh snowfall since yesterday morning as reported by the ski area:

Yamabiko: 10+10cm

Uenotaira: 5+10cm

Hikage: 6cm

Nagasaka: 1+6cm

Karasawa: 6cm

Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 355cm

Uenotaira: 310cm

Hikage: 230cm

Nagasaka: 230cm

Karasawa: 150cm

Lifts & courses:

All courses open apart from Grand Prix, Kurokura and Challenge 39

The Utopia pair lift and Challenge pair lift are normally closed on weekdays
