New snowfall at base 6cm
Snowfall at base this season 978cm

Posted on Wednesday 5th March 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Just over 5cm of (on the wet side) snow but it is definitely a windy morning. That might affect operations today, though the gondolas do seem to be opening as planned.

More fresh snow is due into tomorrow, though I think spots of rain during the day down at base anyway, and it should be much colder tomorrow too.

Clearer skies and a warming up again from Sunday.

Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon as reported by the ski area:

Yamabiko: 15cm

Uenotaira: 6cm

Hikage: 5cm

Nagasaka: 8cm

Karasawa: -cm

Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 365cm

Uenotaira: 320cm

Hikage: 260cm

Nagasaka: 265cm

Karasawa: 185cm
