Another 10cm or so of snow to add to the tally since the last report on the top runs, 5cm or so on the lower runs, as the snow tally mounts up nicely. It has been a cold morning in Nozawa, earlier on it was -3C in the village and -9C higher up on the mountain and it probably won't get up to 0C during the day.
The snow has eased off this morning and right now while there is still quite a lot of cloud up there, there's also a decent amount of blue sky on show and some shadows being cast onto the runs with the sun making an appearance.
Forecast has a mix of cloud, light snow and sun today and tomorrow. Looking to the weekend we might get a spot of rain even on the mountain but hopefully that will be short lived and a return to snowy clouds into next week.
In resort news, the Yunomine B course is now also open, so a decent section of the top half of the mountain is open. Hopefully more soon.
