Nozawa opened yesterday of course and it was a cold and snowy day out there. So snowy in fact that the resort this morning is telling us that they saw 40cm of fresh snow up on Yamabiko since yesterday. Couldn't ask for much more than that. With that new snowfall Yamabiko is now on 100cm.
This morning there is some low cloud covering things down by the village but a look at the webcams shows that up at Yamabiko it is lovely and clear with lots of clear sky and the sun shining down on the snowy runs. Looks very inviting, to say the least!
Weather-wise, it's probably more of the same tomorrow as well, a bit warmer than today but still keeping fairly cold and then Tuesday onwards we can expect more snow to be falling up top. Looks like it will be rain down in the village but Yamabiko should be receiving fresh top-ups.
