Good morning from Nozawa and welcome to the weekend.

White out conditions on the top slopes this morning, but more importantly it's snowing.

It's a cloudy morning in Nozawa Onsen.

Nozawa is reporting 10cm of fresh across the mountain this morning, and there's about that down at base.

After seeing the sun and a calm day yesterday during the daytime, snow has been delivered for this morning.

A good morning from Nozawa. It's Sunday and it's the second day of the three day weekend in Japan.... and Nozawa is bustling.

You know when things are going good when you hear people complain about 'too much snow'. Yes I heard that silly comment a few times yesterday.

Now this is more like it. Hold on, I'll use capitals. THIS IS MORE LIKE IT!

Yesterday we got another 15cm or so of new snowfall on the mountain during the day.

Last day of the new year holidays and today will likely get less busy with people returning home.

The sun is out this morning over Nozawa and we have lovely (almost) clear blue skies.

Good morning from Nozawa and I'm glad to be able to report some decent snowfall overnight with the resort reporting 15-20cm over the mountain this morning.

It's a cold morning in Nozawa Onsen, with the resort reporting a samui! -11 degrees up on the Yamabiko runs as of 7:20am.
