White out conditions on the top slopes this morning, but more importantly it's snowing.
As of 10am, since yesterday the numbers are as follows
Yamabiko - 15cm
Uenotaira - 12cm
Hikage - 8cm
Nagasaka - 8cm
Karasawa - 0cm
So not huge amounts, but we'll take it. Snowfall is expected to ease off during the day and tomorrow will probably start with the sun.
It's not as cold this morning, but still in the minus numbers all over the mountain and down at base.
We should be back to snow overnight Saturday though and into Sunday. A storm that might bring us some heavy snowfall looks to be brewing around Tuesday-Wednesday as well.
Weekend tomorrow... early start recommended!
Official snow depths:
Yamabiko - 235cm
Uenotaira - 215cm
Hikage - 145cm
Nagasaka - 120cm
Karasawa - 85cm
