Hello from Nozawa on this fine spring morning. Warm and sunny weather is generally expected for the weekend, probably with that spring hazy feel.

The sun is out and it's going to be a fine day. Lots of people lined up for the first lifts as well, heading up for those first tracks. And why not, indeed.

Fine and sunny this morning but perhaps increasingly cloudy as the day goes on.

I have just come back from my morning walk. There's a light covering of snow on my car this morning, just about enough to add another 1cm today.

This morning we have a dusting of snow around base areas, just about enough that I can add 1cm to this report.

It's a cloudy start to the day but they might part with some forecasts telling us to expect some sun.

A bit more snow since the report yesterday, with the ski area saying there was a further 5-10cm in the top areas of the mountain.

It feels so good to open the window in a morning and see fresh white.

I might not have cm to add to the report from base (just a light dusting) but the ski area this morning is reporting 14-15cm fresh snow up on the top Yamabiko and Uenotaira areas.

Hurray! This morning I do have some fresh snow to report.

It has been a fine morning so far with a gradually increasing amount of (still friendly looking) cloud around.

After some nice weather yesterday, this morning we start with cloudy/foggy conditions and a bit of a damp feel.

Morning, I've just had 3 hours out on the slopes. That was so much fun and I thought the snow was in decent shape.

Yesterday was definitely warmer than Saturday, up to about 12.5C, and it was actually pretty warm overnight.
