New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 713cm
Posted on Thursday 26th February 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Morning, I've just had 3 hours out on the slopes. That was so much fun and I thought the snow was in decent shape.
I had one less layer on than usual, though it still felt quite warm out there. It still feels way too early for spring conditions, but that is where we find outselves at this point.
If we are lucky we might see some fresh snow in higher elevations on Saturday, according to some forecast, and there is some (how much?!?) more appearing on longer-range forecasts.
I would be as happy as anyone to see a return to winter-like weather!
