Snowfall at base this season 733cm

Posted on Saturday 28th March 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Hello from Nozawa on this fine spring morning. Warm and sunny weather is generally expected for the weekend, probably with that spring hazy feel.

Lots of folks suffering with hay fever at the moment and this weekend there'll be a lot of pollen flying about. Precautions recommended if you suffer, otherwise you might be wanting to scratch your eyes out of their sockets by tonight! I wonder if vegetables get hay fever. I'll ask Naski, though I suspect our favourite bright green (and gnarly) skiing vegetable mascot will be having a busy weekend!
