We got to enjoy some sunshine during the day yesterday and this morning we have a light dusting around base areas.

We have had a mostly kind of cloudy morning (with some bright spells), and it is currently just over 0C in the village.

After that fresh snow to enjoy yesterday, just 5cm to report from top areas this morning (as per ski area) and a dusting+ around base areas.

OK, so this is good. Lots of fresh snow since yesterday.

We have had a kind of sort of dusting+ of snow around base areas since yesterday, nothing significant, and the ski area this morning is reporting 5-7cm of snow on the upper Uenotaira and Yamabiko areas.

As it got colder yesterday we go some fresh snow and by this morning the ski area has reporting almost 20cm in the top areas of the ski area and 5cm down at base areas.

We had fabulous blue skies across the region yesterday and a very mild +4C mid-afternoon.

It's Sunday morning and it's going to be another busy day on the mountain.

The snow that some neighbouring regions seem to have got (hello, Yuzawa) didn't really hit Nozawa yesterday and overnight with just dustings really since yesterday.

Yesterday we even got a spell of sunshine down at base in the afternoon.

First up. Wind is affecting the ski area this morning with the top area closed... at least at the start of the day.

This morning it is cold and snowy. Hurray!

Clouds hung around yesterday rather than a general clear up, and we have another cloudy kind of start to the weekend.
