Hello and good morning from Nozawa.
As it got colder yesterday we go some fresh snow and by this morning the ski area has reporting almost 20cm in the top areas of the ski area and 5cm down at base areas. Nice to see that, of course.
It is still quite cold this morning and there has been some light snow on the mountain but it is generally just cloudy.
Looks like there will be some sun over the weekend with the next fresh snow due early week. My main wish for the weekend is that it stays cold. And that everyone has a safe and fun time!
Fresh snowfall since yesterday morning (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 13cm
Uenotaira: 19cm
Hikage: 5cm
Nagasaka: 5cm
Karasawa: 5cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 200cm
Uenotaira: 165cm
Hikage: 70cm
Nagasaka: 60cm
Karasawa: 40cm
