OK, so this is good. Lots of fresh snow since yesterday.
The ski area has reported up to 40cm of snow (Uenotaira) since yesterday afternoon (and there was a bit before that too, though I missed the actual numbers). Nice. And there's been a very decent amount across the mountain and in lower areas too. I like being able to report that. Naski looks pleased, too.
The snow has eased off for now and while clouds remain it feels quite bright. Down at base, anyway. Almost as if the sun might break through.
Still, forecasts seem to say there's a chance of light snow occasionally today and tomorrow, with a better chance of clearer skies on Thursday.
Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 30cm
Uenotaira: 40cm
Hikage: 35cm
Nagasaka: 35cm
Karasawa: 25cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 220cm
Uenotaira: 190cm
Hikage: 100cm
Nagasaka: 100cm
