Morning from Hakuba. Winter hasn't given up yet.

It's mid March and.... hold on, let me just check the calendar.

Some more fresh snow to report along with beautiful blue skies this morning.

There is fresh snow on the ground. I can report 5cm so far (and counting) and this is what the ski resorts themselves are reporting... 10-15cm at 47 and Happo-one.

The clouds that we had early morning yesterday cleared up leaving us with blue skies all around. A lovely spring day.

I can add a bit more snow since yesterday morning and there are varying numbers being reported by the ski resorts.

4cm at base.

More good news this morning with additional fresh snow to report.

A new white coating of (bit heavy) snow down to village overnight with Hakuba 47 reporting up to 20cm of fresh in places.

Ah, fresh snow overnight! Don't you just love it.

Quite strong winds yesterday which seemed to affect some lifts around the valley, and limited visibility too, but it was great to check out that fresh snow.

Resorts are reporting 10-20cm of fresh snowfall on their upper areas and 5-10cm down at base.

More snow to report this morning with Happo, 47 and Goryu all reporting 20-25cm of fresh snow on their upper areas.
