Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 6cm
Snowfall at base this season 188cm
Posted on Monday 16th March 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Hakuba.
There is fresh snow on the ground. I can report 5cm so far (and counting) and this is what the ski resorts themselves are reporting... 10-15cm at 47 and Happo-one.
...so it sounds like there should be a decent layer up there this morning - with more falling now and associated limited visibility.
The top Happo-one Grat quad and Kurobishi pair lifts appear to be on hold at the time of writing due to wind.
The sun should be back tomorrow.
