Worm 0
Should I be doing something special with my equipment before packing away - ie getting it cleaned up - or should I wait to do that tune-up just before next season?
mattlucas 0
With Skis I think your supposed to put a huge amount of wax on your bases and not scrape it off till next season. Also unscrew the DIN to let the springs relax. I have never done the wax thing. Usually only put one coat on a season. Just lazy I guess. Yesturday I skied through a bunch of leaves branches and rocks just so I would not have to take my skis off getting back to the car.
Siren 0
For snowboards do you take off the bindings?
mattlucas 0
Yes I would suggest that with a Snowboard you take the bindings off. Then chuck them in the garbage quickly followed by the board itself.

LiquidX 0
I really should take more care of my gear - it usually just gets left in the garage until October when I get it out and take a good longing look at it.
Fattwins 0
I have yet to din down my bindings but I do wax the skis at the end of the year. just keep in a dry place and you wont have to worry too much.
mattlucas 0
The first pair of skis that I purchased with my own money (so not with mommy and daddy) I babied and turned down the DINS and put a huge wax on the base. Since then the skis are lucky to see wax during the ski season let alone when it's finished.

cz 0
I always tune mine up twice a year - before and after. And take good care of them during as well. Thats how to keep them in good condition.
