veronica 2
What is the cheapest time generally to fly overseas? Of course depending on destination, etc. but any tips are appreciated. I can take a break either early March or early October this year and thinking of taking a weeks trip somewhere nice. Any experiences?
IceTomato 0
Late Feb.Early March should be quite cheap to go to Europe and such like. I went to London that time last year and the ticket was about 75000 yen.
smiler 0
Thats cheap - sounds like a good idea that. Thanks
enderzero 0
I flew round trip to America in Dec for around 40,000 and will be flying there at the end of this month for around 50,000. Everytime I have flown round trip from America to Japan (Mar, Jan, Oct) it has cost me over $600US.
HeatherLocklearRocks 1
That sounds real cheap - where abouts you flying to? I'm travelling to LA in early April and getting quotes of around 70000 now.
enderzero 0
Tokyo --> Denver, but it is turning out to be a bit more for airfare than I had anticipated. It would be 55,000 if I didn't mind flying Narita --> San Francisco --> Mineapolis --> Denver. But I try to avoid 19 hour flights at all costs.
OutOfControl 0
Now is one of the cheapest times to go to the uk. You can get over there for abot 75000 about now. Avoiding 19 hour flights is definitely a good idea. Out of interest, how long is a LA > New York flight??
indosnm 0
end of March prices usually go up for spring break. well at least to Bali & Oz. I also noticed that korea did too.
HoTRoD 2
From the beginning of March they usually start rising then a peak end March.
klingon 10
Then it dips a bit before GW, then dips again after Golden Week and before summer arrives. Now is a cheap time.
enderzero 0
LA to NYC nonstop takes about 5 hours and right now is about $225.
spud 0
Now is a great time. Last year we went over to the US for around 50000 yen, excellent deal. Save so much than going back in summer or other peak times, I always will be going back low season
veronica 2
I just trying to book a flight to the UK to visit friends in June (original plans have changed) - seems it's going to cost about 110,120-000 around that time.
NoFakie 45
When my nana died last year, I got a direct flight on Virgin last June at three days' notice for 77,000 each for me and the wife. It was from Narita and my wife found it on Yahoo travel. The entertainment on board was great. They had The Office and lots of good flicks. It sounds like the price has gone up a lot this year. The cheapest flight we could have gone on was a long haul on Cathay for under 55000. I think that one was extra cheap due to SARS.
damian 0
jeez, you guys do ok. The best price for a direct flight, Tokyo to Sydney, that I have ever found has been about 100,000. I have never looked during the Sydney winter, perhaps it is cheaper then.
