Goemon 0
I didn't know dogs could cook? They must be very smart.
kintaro 0
If you are a gambling man check out Walker Hill....they have the only casino in town. they also have live shows, pretty good food and English is never a problem. I should add you might want to stay clear of Itaewon (spelling?) to avoid incidents of being mistaken as a US military guy.

DumbStick 13
Recently I've caught a few minutes of Korean drama on the tv every now and again. The ladies were seriously HOT. Are Korean ladies hot in reality?
damian 0
Of all the 'Asian background' women I met in Australia, Korean women were always the best looking, best body, most elegent and had the most classic facial features, almost like a sculpture some times. This is of course not meant to diminish either other Asian womens appearances nor Australian et al women
r45 4
Yes, I concur.
Goemon 0
Quote: Korean women were always the best looking, best body, most elegent and had the most classic facial features, almost like a sculpture some times. Not to be disrespectful, but my Seoul field report so far concludes that the above statement is false or misguided... On a positive note, the women (and people in general) here are very helpful and generous, almost to the extreme.
Ocean11 0
Korean women tend to use a hell of a lot of makeup such that one wonders what they would look like without it...
damian 0
Goemon - a country only ever exports its best produce. Domestic commodities tend to be more genuine, but of lower quality For example, Asahi beer is far better in Australia as a Japanese export than it is in Japan as a domestic beer. Same theory applies to women. Beer and women, not much difference in the end. With such sensitive and insightful opinions, one is only left too wonder why I am not yet married

For goods (I don't even want to get into the topic of exporting women), it seems that people in Hong Kong have the impression that for most countries, like China, the best products are exported and the lower quality items were left for the domestic market. I remember this was also very true for Hong Kong, we could often see real high quality clothing and other stuff abroad labelled "made in Hong Kong" but could never find such stuff in Hong Kong. However, the opposite was true for Japan. We found that they made a lot of high quality items, both fashion and electronics, that were only available in Japan and not exported. Therefore, a lot of Hong Kong people like to go on Japan shopping sprees. I wonder how true this still is. I'm sure it is true to some extent.
Ocean11 0
Markie, I hear the latter situation is true of bankers in Australia.

Discos: Go to Apkujong or Myongdong Antiques: Insadong Shopping: Itaewon, Namdemoon market or Tongdemoon Food: most places in Seoul has decent food it can be a little spicy. Goemon 0
I would like to revise my earlier comments regarding Korean women; my previous judgement was based on walking around a popular shopping area on a Sunday (akin to walking around Daiba on a Sunday...). There are indeed some beautiful women in Seoul (although, certainly not more than in Tokyo). I also found that they do tend to wear an awful lot of make-up (as Ocean mentioned). I was also told that plastic surgery is fairly popular here.
