NAHA — The rainy season appears to have begun in the southwestern Japan region of Okinawa on Wednesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

The start is 10 days earlier than last year and three days earlier than usual. The wet weather is expected to end in late June as usual in the Okinawa region, the agency said. (Kyodo News)

Hmmmm.

This shitty weather the last week or so for the most part really is rubbish. I'm escaping in the summer for a while, but hasn't the weather been screwed up generally here the last few years?

The last few weeks has seen rain rain and more rain here in Niigata. I was going to take a trip down to Yuzawa/Gunma/Nozawa this weekend, but the forecast for today was really bad - and I'm glad we didn't go, looks awful. Perhaps the real rainy season will finish early.
