In the last week many types of blossoms have bloomed in London. Pretty typical for this time of year in the northern hemisphere.

Two weeks ago it was 20C and I got a bit burnt in the park. Then today it became cold and windy whilst walking home I thought for a second that lots of blossom petals were being blown off the trees. Then I realised it was snowing. WTF? It is April 7.

I came home and checked the weather and yep, a new forecast for 100cm in the alps. Tried to get a flight but no chance at a good price/departure time.

Snow on April 7! Is this the start of the next ice age? Has the Gulf Stream turned off ;\)

I was driving over a high pass late last night above 1300 metres. They were forcasting snow on the warning screens. It was raining at the time but the temperature was dropping.

I wouldn't be surprised if the higher mountains got snow. Most of the ski hills in Japan are far to low to get snow this late in the season though.
