Recycle bags

OK be honest. Do you re-use your supermarket plastic bags or not?

 

I want to say "always", but in reality it is "sometimes".

We get a small discount if we take bags at our loca supermarket here in hk.

They did that for a while here actually but seemed to have stopped it. I never saw anyone taking their bags with them.

use em for picking up my dogs crap,she does that alot.We can use them for gomi bags here in the boondocks and noone cares.

a pair of disposable chopsticks is probibly worse for the environment than a plastic bag. (assuming its burned in a modern furnace)

I know someone (Japanese) who actually uses the throwaway chopsticks a lot AT HOME.

I know some people who do that too. And give disposables to people who visit as well.

The Japanese are one of the worst races in the world at recycling. They pretend they are really particular about dividing their rubbish and everything (all that "bunbetsu" shite with your garbage) but wherever you go they will wrap your purchase in about 5 different plastic bags before you actually get to take it home. When you refuse this waste of resources and say that you dont want to add to the air pollution in tokyo when they burn this useless plastic bag they give you these weird looks. Bring your own bags people! And tell these silly checkout chicks & guys that you do not need 5 plastic bags around your two apples!

I use mine for other thing - like gomi. I never take them to the shops and have never seen anyone else ever do that either.

I always bring my shopping bag and don't go to supermarket so often. I always buy vegetables and fruits at my favorite Yaoya-san, meat at Nikuya-san, bread at my favorite Panya-san. It's the best way to reduce garbage.
