gamera 0
Do you have Daikon in your country? I have never heard any 'Yes' as an answer so wonder if it's Japanese origin stuff or not.
BagOfCrisps 24
Thats that great big raddish, right? Sorry to go "off", but is the phrase "daikon legs" a well-known one (or was a Japanese guy just pulling my leg)
gamera 0
LOL... you say that? ( great big raddish ) Exactly it's much bigger compared with normal 'raddish' ( small red one ) Hum... Daikon legs, that is usually used for women with massive legs which are straight massive from thighs to ankles, no constriction. But if we call some women 'You have daikon legs', I'm sure you would have been ignored in the future !!!
kintaro 0
We have daikon in Hawaii but I 'm sure it's because of the large Japanese population. Daikon on steak is oishii!!
farquah 0
Don`t have it back in UK but have eaten it in New Zealand when living there. ALso saw a phallic shaped Daikon at the weekend, women were praying to it and then chow down on it, part of a local festival type thing after New Years usually!!!!! Worship then munch!! NoFakie 45
You can get it at Indian or Chinese supermarkets, at least, in the UK. I first encountered it as "mooli" in the Indian grocers in Rusholme, the Indian part of Manchester near all the colleges. You should generally store vegs in the way they grow, so upright, if poss, is best.
gamera 0
Oh okay, so at least some countries have some. Thanks. Kintaro, daikon-oroshi on top of tonkatsu is also yummy.

lin 0
I read an article somewhere on Japan and they were talking about the youth generally getting bigger, and they said about the daikonashi and an increasing number of them.
