montoya 0 Posted May 27, 2005 Author Share Posted May 27, 2005 That peak is called "Obami-dake" (大喰岳). You traverse down but then climb up a bit. Peak of Yarigatake is 3180, and Obami-dake is 3101, so it's slightly higher than the hut there. A bit longer drop I think. Here's a pic from May 25 of last year.
