indosnm 0
Totally agree with what you are saying Oyuki, was looking for some tips that I could use to teach my niece who's 8 in 2 weeks. I'd stick her in a school for a day but her mum isn't for it. Looks like I'll be paying! (good investment though)
danc72 0
Quote: I'm hoping to start my little lady this winter, she is nearly 2. She is keen to move around on the skis, will be fun to see how she goes on the snow, on the flat! I hope you don't ruin it forever by starting so young. Like ASB said if they are not physically and mentally ready its just too dangerous.

thursday 1
I'm thinking 2. Can't go skiing again without my wife so that means taking our newborn who will arrive in March and be 2 in 2 years time.
keba 0
I heard the other day that because of hip joint and muscle development issues, it's not entirely safe to have kids on skis until they're 4. Anyone with a background in biomechanics or physiotherapy here who might have an informed opinion on this? I heard it from a bootfitter, and he did seem pretty firm and confident on his views. My boy is 7 months, so this may become relevant in a couple of years' time...
thursday 1
I'll probably sled him around from 2 and try him on skis at 3. That's between creche times of course.

Fossil 0
We put our boy on skis when he was 3yrs old. That was in Kopanik The old Yugoslavia. He broke our hearts as he ended up a snowboarder. We dont speak of it much, too painful.
Mantas 3
It's better to get these things out in the open Fossil.
