wendy-cake 0
So, has the earthquake of last year affected the numbers of the hills over in Niigata at all?
jstepp 0
I went to Joetsu Kokusai earlier this month on a weekday and there seemed to be the normal "weekday" amount there.
SKI 15
Definitely down on normal from what I have seen. How much that has got to do with wobbly ground or not I don't know.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted January 24, 2005 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted January 24, 2005 After speaking with a few places, they are definitely seeing less people on the slopes. One place just showed me some of the letters they had received from regulars saying things like: "We want to visit and support you, but.... we're going to (somewhere else not in Niigata) instead. Really sorry!" Some resorts seem to be holding up better than others. It will be interesting to see the numbers though.
A lawyer 0
Well at least they know they haven't been forgotten!!
mina2 6
Bad numbers here in Minakami too actually, and while we aren't in Niigata we got shook up a fair bit and some people avoiding our area too it seems.
