Thunderbird2 0
And if so, why? I have this friend who rents and he's already been out 5 times and plans for more. I keep on telling him to BUY and he'll get much more out of it but keeps on doing the rent thing.
flipside 0
If he rents more than ten times he could have probably bought a cheap beginners package! What's your mate doin'?
IIIII 2
He sounds nuts!! Less than 10 times and you're almost covered - and have all the gear yourself.
its-a-clock 0
Difficult to understand why he's doing that? Some great deal? Changes models every time?
veronica 2
Sometimes I wish I could swap round equipment and try out other things. Renting every time though would be really expensive that wouldn't be viable.
nzlegend 1
Problem with most rental gear it that it sucks! ill fitting boots, cheap bindings, el cheapo skiis. If you wanna try other gear, look for demo tents on demo days and try stuff that way. Do they have many demo tents on the slopes here? I never really too much notice. 7-11 2
I don't know... quite a few resorts have brand new gear each season. I know the cheap run down places outside a resort might be cheap and have old gear, but in the resorts is sometimes a different matter.
