This means the weather should be well who nows. Resorts wont open too much earlier as they dont see the money in it. I think it will be a better winter than last year. The artificial base was already down but the tops of the mountains were completly covered! Let the winter season begin... Link to post Share on other sites

I spoke to my oldest son last night, who went up to Whistler for a weekend of debouchery before the season starts.... Apparently October was the driest October in recorded history in the Vancouver / Lower Mainland area... as a result - No snow in Whistler village and none on any of the lower slopes whatsoever.... So, looks like we are positioned right geographically this season so far anyways... On another note - the official website says Sapporo Kokusai will open on the 9th with the "official" opening on the 16th.... Currently looks like a blizzard there... Link to post Share on other sites
