Tubby Beaver 209
'Gambarou' is surely a fantastic name for a band. Abe and the Gambarinos

frannyo 2
No...nothing at all. They were very robotic and I was just a number. One other Japanese guy that was there under similar circumstances got a little riled up about it but in the end....busted to blue.. Hey....that sounds like a good name for my band..."Busted to Blue"...... (we need a name change) I suppose the message of the story is, if you don't want to frustrate yourself here with stuff like that, make sure to stick by the rules! I do actually think that having to renew a licence is a good thing. Just not the silly ridiculous video / lesson / variant that you have to go through here if you sneeze at the wrong time. 634-maru 4
Is there no test or anything, you just have to sit through it?

yamayamayama 2
No doubt you are a better and safer driver now than you were when you went in this morning.
snowdude 44
Oh yes magically much better and safer driver for watching those vids and listening to the lecture. I lost count of how many times the oh boy mentioned anzen unten.
yamayamayama 2
Good, good. Society is happy.
snowdude 44
Learnt so much that I would never have known if it werent for those videos. Lol hehe.
snowdude 44
One vid was actually totally irrelevant to everyone in the room it was a drama type video acting out a drink driving accident. No one in that room had any points for drink driving or anything like that. I guess it was intended to put people off drink driving and to show how lives get screwef up from it. grungy-gonads 54
I'm always up for learning. Even if it's not time to renew do you reckon they'll let me go and check out the vid at the local centre if I pop by?
grungy-gonads 54
I might even ask if i can sit in on one of the lectures/group discussions. Sounds like there might be some nice ladies there too.
muikabochi 208
It's definitely worth an ask I reckon, grungy-gonads.
snowdude 44
Actually their were some very pretty young ladies in the room around 20 years old. Not that I took any notice of course but when one sat next to me its not easy not to notice.
snowdude 44
Yep no harm in asking.
grungy-gonads 54
I'd be happy to pay a bit too, as long as I could be assured that it went to further meaningless bureaucracy.
Doktor Avalanche 0
Don't you just love the bureaucracy or however you spell it.
egglesby 1
Got this to look forward to myself. If I have not been caught commiting committed any crimes, is it just the video?
snowdude 44
Yep! Two vids actually, well at least we did in the centre I went to. I presume it is the same everywhere? That and an eye test.
NoFakie 45
I've forgotten most of it but I think the vid I saw the last time had a "the cyclist is liable" bit in it and some big numbers about accidents where cyclists hit pedestrians. Its got some big "unless necessary due to the nature of the road" loophole and I'm sure its not enforced to a laughable degree, but it's illegal to cycle on the pavement now. Just to crank up the confusion, traffic law refers to bicycles as "keisharyou". That expression does not mean a kei car.
SKI 15
I might even ask if i can sit in on one of the lectures/group discussions. Sounds like there might be some nice ladies there too. Did you find out gg?
