Never heard of Wincle before.

 

Neither had I grungy-gonads. Tiny place, in the middle of nowhere in Cheshire, close to Derbyshire.

Remind me what the green chippy curry is like....

 

Green chippy curry is more like gravy than curry. If you like, it's gravy with a green additive and white pepper sprinkled on top.

 

thursday must be talking from experience of rubbish Southern rubbish.

 

Proper chippy curry is nothing like gravy with white pepper sprinkler on top.

Comparing London/The South's pies, gravy, chippy curry, chippy anything, egg custards, bitters, flat caps, and indeed tons of other things with the vastly superior Northern ones is just....silly.

UK seems to be increasingly even more London-centric, for sure.
