pie-eater 207
"All You Need Is Love" Well, it isn't really is it. You need food, clothing, shelter, an iPad and a PS3. Amongst other things. I don't know if they were just being silly or romantic or whatever, but its rather misleading.
kokodoko 67
"We all live in a Yellow Submarine" I don't.
pie-eater 207
I was going to mention that one, but when you think about it they may have just been referring to themselves. And not, like, everyone. I'm not sure if they were actually living on a yellow submarine at the time, but obviously this too would be extremely misleading if in fact they were not. Metabo Oyaji 71
"This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius." In the 40-some years since that prediction was made, I haven't observed any notable proliferation of fish tanks.

hellyer 216
Interesting observation Seemore - I ran it through a couple more times - didn't hear it, see it or feel it. Is it subliminal?
HeatherLocklearRocks 1
But The Vapours did qualify their observation by saying "they really think so".
pie-eater 207
That's right. The Vapours clearly only thought that they were turning Japanese. They didn't state that they were. Not sure why they thought that but... will have to study the lyrics some.

NoFakie 45
I was going to put that one in it's song about masturbation. Think about it and listen to the words If memory serves, the people from the NME, maybe Stuart Marconie in particular, reckon it was an urban legend started by them.

hellyer 216
Re Seemores comments above This is a song about masterbation - hum it to the tune of Funiculi Funicular - it fits well A good one to sing with your mates while on the ropeway Funiculi, Funicula Unknown Last night I stayed up late to masterbate. It felt so nice; I did it twice. Last night I stayed up late to pull my pud. It felt so good; I knew it would. You should see me working on the short strokes. I use my hand; It's really grand. You should see me working on the long strokes. I use my feet; It's really neat. Bash it! Smash it! Beat it on the floor! Smite it! Bite it! Ram it through the door! Oh it's so neat to beat your meat while sitting on the toilet seat! Isn't life divine? Funiculi, funicula!

"And now I know how Joan of Arc felt Now I know how Joan of Arc felt As the flames rose to her roman nose And her Walkman started to melt" How could morrissey know how joan of arc felt? not possible. And Joan of Arc could not have had a walkman. not yet invented. "Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking When I said I'd like to smash every tooth In your head" I bet Morrissey was not joking at all but meant it.
