RobBright 35
Ski / snowboard season is upon us, which means onsen, warm sake and yuki dango donuts. I really love sake; however, it really hates me. We're slowly consuming this one at the moment. A dry sake of +4, around the same as Hakkaisan. Of course, it isn't that old but very tasty stuff. How about you?
muikabochi 208
Uonuma, I see. Sadly I can't get into sake, never enjoyed strong drinks.

hellyer 216
I usually only partake after copious beers - a volotile combination though funnily enough I never seem to wake up with a headache
seemore 66
I have tried and I do like a drink but can't get the hang of it
hellyer 216
I am no expert but I tend to prefer the cloudy variety over the clear'ish one
Chriselle 158
My favorite sake is Kunimare from Mashike Hokkaido. Also partial to Otokoyama in Asahikawa. Good stuff but honestly it's no Pinot Noir.
HelperElfMissy 42
Love it! Nice and hot (so quality is less important) KAMPAI!
Metabo Oyaji 71
I love sake. Don't know that much about it, really, except that I like strong flavors. Don't like the ones that have been refined to the point of tasting like water -- if I want something that tastes like water, I'll drink water. For a night-cap, I often default to Funaguchi Kikusui: or a local Ibaraki sake, like Hakushika: When I can find them, I'm quite fond of Okunomatsu, from Nihonmatsu, Fukushima: and Miharukoma, from Miharu, Fukushima:
RobBright 35
Are those dry or sweet, MO?

seemore 66
We gave one to our 9 yearold and she was drinking it on the deck at the Vale and these people were looking at us like we were weirdos It wasn't until someone told us they had alcohol in them that we realised
Chriselle 158
lol.....ya, sometimes I make a "mangria"....red wine, a little oj, vodka, and a splash of Sangria. My ten year old certainly doesn't like that mix but she sure does fancy the Sangria by itself.....at 11% alc.
Alexander L 80
Zuisen Awamori. A fine full bodied awamori.
Thundercat 60
If we are talking about awamori the best I've ever had was one from Kumejima, called Kumesen. There is an Okinawan restaurant near my house that I do a bottle-keep at... yummy stuff!

Metabo Oyaji 71
Are those dry or sweet, MO? Dry except for the Kikusui, which is a bit on the sweet side, though not in a syrupy kind of way, rather more in a powerfully pungent kind of way. Drunken oyaji breath in a can.
