ILoveZao 8
I love sunsets. Each season has a different feel to them. Here's a few recent from Zao
brit-gob 9
Very pretty ILoveZao, you have a good position to see some fab sunsets there.
hellyer 216
Great pics ILove Zao - very dramatic Here's a few I took two weeks ago in Darwin
Metabo Oyaji 71
From where on the mountain did you take those pics, ILoveZao? Darwin looks nice. Similar to Hawai`i.
big-will 7
Love the "layers of mountains" look thing going on. Get lots of that in Japan.
Go Native 70
Darwin looks nice. Similar to Hawai`i. Except Darwin has bugger all decent surf and the ocean is full of salt water crocodiles and poisonous jellyfiish! I'd choose Hawaii
69 5
Sounds like a big plus would be no "surfer dudes" to put up with. I choose Darwin!

I'd choose Hawaii I agree with you GN - Darwin is only bearable in the dry season - way too much humidity otherwise - as well as the nasties you mentioned. Hawaii for me anytime. hellyer 216
Some more shots I took at Raylay Bay, Krabi, Thailand in 1998
Tubby Beaver 209
ah.......I've been there. I lived in the backpacker enclave in the next bay over. Got out 2 weeks before the 2004 tsunami came washing in.....
hellyer 216
Wow good timing TB It's a special place isn't it, especially Phra Nang Bay A reminder...................... I went back in 2006 and could still see some Tsunami ravaged areas of the peninsular.. I just love the feel of the place and the fact it's on the mainland but you can only get there by boat
Tubby Beaver 209
yeah, absolutely stunning. I was in the 3rd beach away.......we'd hire a canoe and paddle around the cliffs etc, then go to the main tourist beach (number 2 in the pic) to drink and get something to eat, then by the time we'd paddle around the coast to our beach it was dark......my bro would be at the front of the canoe with his mobile phone on, trying to provide a little light to show that we were there as there were loads of water taxis zipping around from there back to Krabbi.....pretty dangerous
