Best/worst months in Japan

July can sometimes be as bad or worse than August, but not often. August is simply horrible :thumbsdown:

I have enjoyed an August or two.

Though having said that if I had to work and get dressed up for it, i would think differently.

Definitely beats the rainy season.

Fall is great here, it's a really great time of the year to be in Japan.

Spring can be nice but too short and too quick to heat up. Fall seems to last longer.

I have only experineced the winter so far and would really love to go in autumn.

The pull of winter and the skiing though is just too much.

Up until about 10 years ago I would've named October the best month, but too much rain in recent years. Now I think November is better (although January is, by far, my real favorite).

I guess for lots of us autumn/fall is just a relief after the long, hard slog that is summer. And with winter round the corner too..
