Sciclone 2
I agree with the leaving your board/skis out bit. My sister left her board out the front of our old hotel about 11am, and we didn't pick it up til 8pm that evening after we had eaten dinner. 19. Beer in vending machines. No need to go to overpriced apres ski bars to enjoy a nice cold beer after a long day snowboarding. 20. Very little drunk hooliganism. I've yet to be woken up by some drunken yahoo at some ungodly hour of the night in Japan.
Thundercat 60
I've had a board stolen here. And a pair of gloves. It does happen so it's better to lock up or keep an eye on your stuff.
Chriselle 158
Not ski related but I had a $3500 kayak stolen off my sundeck....$600 paddle, too. The cops found them later and returned but ....As BM said....Don't assume too much.

Slippery Jim 65
You know what's sad, though, is that it's almost impossible to find nori-shio in Hokkaido, and especially at ski areas. I've begun packing a couple of bags in my backpack.
