@tokyo 14
Love the new functionality http://www.snowjapan...oute-finder.php I was actually just about thinking about a trip around Gunma that I am hoping to do this winter. It has already been a big help. So so so easy to find things now. White World to Marunuma Kogen http://www.snowjapan...velMode=DRIVING Brilliant Perhaps we could collect a few good routes
muikabochi 208
Here's a good one that gets asked a lot Central Yuzawa > Kagura > Naeba http://www.snowjapan...velMode=DRIVING
joshnii 2
Near where I live to Marunuma Kogen. 190km Hmmmm bit far really. Now if I were muika, would be much more do-able. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/route-finder/japan-resort-directions-large.php?addresses=Sanjo%2C%20Niigata%20Prefecture%2C%20JapanANDMarunuma%20Kogen(resort%3D15)&avoidHighways=false&avoidTolls=false&travelMode=DRIVING Great fun this new tool! muikabochi 208
Still a good hour and a half from here joshnii with a decent relatively clear drive. It's the Route 120 bit that does it from Numata. Get behind a few slow trucks and it might double the time it takes there are so few places to overtake. I'd like to go back but not sure if it will be this season.
norcal 5
Anyone been able to use this on their smartphones and use it as Navi? Tried it out, but couldn't get the navigation to come up. Guess I could just copy the address, but would be sweet as an app! lol
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted December 1, 2011 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted December 1, 2011 Hi norcal, can you tell me what you mean by 'couldn't get the navigation to come up'? You weren't able to create a route on it?
BagOfCrisps 24
Works on my ipad.
norcal 5
I can get the route to show up, but I'd like to be able to click the destination and have it show up in my Navigation app, but I could just copy and paste, no problem. Just didn't know if someone had been able to bring this up in Navigation instead of just the map.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted December 1, 2011 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted December 1, 2011 I'm afraid that isn't part of the setup right now, norcal. A good idea though. I have absolutely no idea if anything like that is possible. I will bring it up with Bob (the tech dude) when he wakes up after his month-long slumber. Wouldn't want to wake him up now, he might bite my head off! Do you find the new stuff useful though? Keen to hear feedback. Thanks.
norcal 5
Wish I could give a better explination...would make more sense in person, lol. Not the best at writing it out, haha. I'll probably just save the addresses you have as my favorites and do it that way. Either way, this route finder is awesome. Thanks for the hard work guys!
