Popular Post muikabochi 208
Today we had a lovely walk up Iiji-san, the mountain that is basically in the central area of Yuzawa - the peak separating the Iwappara and Centleisure Maiko ski resorts in Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma respectively. The autumn colours were spectacular, even if we had actually missed the peak by a few days or a week or so. The first part of the walk is up the lower slopes of Iwappara, then you branch off and walk though lots of trees and some fairly steep parts, eventually coming out on the peak. Not a big area, but from there you can almost see 360 degrees all round you -- all of Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma. I could even see my house. Sort of. And maybe even SJ HQ as well. Fact fans, Iiji-san is actually the peak that is 'featured' on that new Snowjapan logo. In the name of autumn prettiness, here's lots of tree photos. And some scenes.

muikabochi 208
Thanks... We took it quite slow, and I was taking tons of photos, it took about 2 hours 15 minutes to get up there I suppose. Coming down was much quicker probably not much more than an hour. Body is aching this morning!
