muikabochi 208
I spent many a nighta ski at Nakazato. A friend of mine when I first came here worked at a place just by the base and so got me some freebies. Convenient for the train too.
Slippery Jim 65
Yes, Ski, it was. In fact, Nakazato was the first ski area I ever saw. Several years before I started skiing I took the train to Yuzawa one winter, and of course it stopped at Nakazato. Knocked me out how people were just getting off the train and changing into ski boots on the platform (and reverse on the way back). Never expected I'd one day do the same myself. Shermanator 0
Not sure I'd want to spent more than 2 hours one way for a day trip. But will be doing some next year as I am moving to Tokyo.
A lawyer 0
Zao is way too far for a day trip. Friend of mine did Hakuba but it just doesn't seem like a good idea to me that. Just too far. Perhaps I'm just getting on and the thought of strapping on skis after a long trip just doesn't appeal.
Jynxx 4
Didn´t mind long drives when I was a youngsta. Actually enjoyed it. Especially the Ramen breaks on the way. Now, I´m a bit sick of driving. Missus drives. She shudda bin a race car driver. Anyways, one hour drive home after a snowboarding day is cool. Two hours or more, I feel sorry for my Missus.
