Alexander L 80
As summer approaches, there will be an re-emergence of the Great Japanese Tit, in urban areas as well as the countryside, especially after shedding their Winter coats. Keen Great Tit watchers should be aware though, that the migratory European Great Tit would also be emerging from their Winter coats, but more in their adopted urban habitats. The European species can be distinguished from the Japanese Great Tit by their all round greater size from excessive feeding all year round. And of course the lighter plummage, but most notably the girth of the wings, the belly area and the legs. But watchers take caution; one must never peek long at the European Great Tit for fear your curious gaze may be mistaken for a mating call.

Tubby Beaver 209
I think the Asian Great Tit is called the Lesser Tit, in Europe. Although it has to be said that both the Asian Tit and European Tit are both highly valued by collectors and twitchers alike
