Schneebored 0
Sounds a liiiiiiitttle bit racist to me.
Tubby Beaver 209
its aussie slang for Italians and Lebanese, the 2 biggest groups who play football in Oz. Yeah it is a bit racist but not in the same way that it would be if a Brit used the word "Wog"
Go Native 70
Only considered racist in this over the top politically correct days. Back when I was growing up that's what we called soccer as Tubby points out back when it started getting popular in Aus it was really only the Italians and other European immigrants who played it. Sure it's a bit more mainstream these days but most Aussies are certainly more interested in Aussie rules football or rugby.
Mantas 3
Actually it's a term used mostly to describe Italians and Greeks. Unlike other ethnic groups in Oz, the Greeks and Italians were indifferent to being called wogs and therefore took the racist edge right out of the term. They even promoted themselves as wogs by making movies like The Wog Boy and such. I'm sure not all Greeks and Italians like being called wogs though. It's a bit of an outdated term used mostly back in the 70's and 80's when Football (soccer) was predominantly played by 'wogs'. Hence the name wog ball.
