The fine print was read but the online box for snow sports was left unchecked. If an agent was involved the mistake would never have happened. As it is no operation is required and the person will be in a cast for 8 weeks.

We just picked our tickets up and the travel agent was blabbing on about how nice it was going to be going business class and I was Okay enough already my travel insurance does it cover snowboarding and skiing accidents, are we covered if someone else hits us. What do we have to do if we have an accident and need to claim back?

I think she thought I was a totally looney - I just said My Friends on Snowjapan Forums have told me to ask ALL the important questions! yep she has labelled my a totally looney clap BUT we are totally covered!

lol That´s good.

On the serious note, I feel lucky that all I needed for the last 5 times broken bone injuries just needed painkillers. Nothing serious, no surgery.

You guys!!!!!!!! I was like that many, many years ago - thought I was made of rubber. In those days, I rode my motorcycle to uni without a helmet, and just ordinary trousers. Even smoked between lectures. Never entered my mind that I could ever get hurt.

It is only in more recent years that I realised I wasn't made of rubber. sadface

rollabout I am hearing you VB. When I was younger I would ride and break any horse (with NO helmet). Fall off get up dust yourself off and get back on. Discovered as I got older you don't actually bounce as well even though I have MUCH MORE padding now I hit the ground and lay there in agony!! So I have taken up a much safer sport SKIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! clap

Me too wink
I did take up riding when I was posted to KL. Joined the Polo Club there and rode some retired racehorses in the tin mines. One called Captain Jack nearly killed me. smile

I bounce but still my bone breaks. I´m still much flexible than most people at any age, other than people in the circus.

As long as it is a clean break, I don´t mind. But, yeah, I´m learning to back off a bit.

By the way, I fell on my left shoulder yeasterday. This one had been out a bit since I fell on my elbow 2 years ago. It went crack and hurt a bit, but lo! it went back in (to where it´s supposed to be?) and got better!

Doesn´t hurt anymore (it´s been there the last year or so) and got better movement. Bonus ! biggrin

I started breaking bones when some people have mid life crisis.

Didn´t break when I was younger. Hence the yogult to increase bone density.

This snowboarding. This is hardcore!

I thought I´d never hurt myself falling in powder.

But yesterday, I dug my nose and cartwheeled. Strained the side of my body (chest to waist). First run. But the rest of the day was greaaaat!

This morning is a bit ouchy.

Yep have hit the pain killers - I have adhesive capulitise of the shoulder. It was coming right, threw my arm out to grab one of my NAUGHTY horses and totally have gone back to immobility of the arm. Feeling a little better today will be able to raise my drink with my left arm wink.
