SKI 15
Quote: A trainer at the SeaWorld theme park in Florida died yesterday after being attacked by a five-tonne killer whale, according to horrified witnesses who had been expecting to see the whale star in its own show. Police called to the hugely popular Orlando park said 40-year-old trainer Dawn Brancheau slipped and drowned but witnesses said she was attacked and shaken until one of her shoes fell off. Paramedics who rushed to the park's Shamu aquatic stadium were unable to revive her. The whale, named Tillikum, rose from the water in its tank and pulled its victim under moments after she had finished describing the performance the audience was about to see, Victoria Biniak told a local TV station. "He was thrashing her around pretty good; it was violent," she said. I bet some kids are going to have nightmares after seeing that!

Chriselle 158
I'm from Victoria, BC and I remember that whale (Tilikum) at the former SeaLand which closed down quite a few years ago. She killed someone back then, too.
thursday 1
Her colleagues are saying it was her pony tail that got her killed But she had been working with those animals for 13 years. Must've loved them like kids. Can't imagine she'd want the whale put down.
