But remember, Liverpool have lost only two home games all season, Chelsea have failed to win in 8 of their last 12 away games.

Statistics, don't you just love 'em!

Yes well done! The only English team in Europe.

Now come on Liverpool. Pick yourselves up and play on Sunday!

Liverpool did actually WIN the game last night just not the draw.

sadface

They will be up for it Sunday, I am sure. 4th might be a stretch and relying on other teams to do stuff, but if we lose to Chelsea there is the ominous possiblity of Everton overtaking us. We sure can't let that happen.

They'll be up for it.

Whether they can actually get points is a different matter.

If Fulham win the final, Burnley look set for the UEFA Cup.

If even they don't, Fulham should still qualify to play next year.

(fair play league innit)

Sir Alex Ferguson calls on Liverpool to “not to throw their history away†when they face Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.

rollabout Lose-lose situation for pool. Win and they could still grab 4th (but also help the Mancs). Lie down and they lose 4th for sure.

This is encouraging too

Rafa Benitez has left Manchester United’s title hopes hanging by a thread by admitting that his shattered Liverpool players were in no fit state to face Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.

Sir Alex Ferguson knows United’s chances of remaining champions hinge on the leaders dropping points, and he would be hoping that might happen on Merseyside.

It looks a distant prospect, though, after Benitez admitted that his team were out on their feet after a demoralising two-hour Europa League semi-final defeat by Atletico Madrid on Thursday night.

We'll win and perhaps if Sunderland beat United too it will all be over by the end of tomorrow.

As for United and Jose. I reckon Jose will be off to Real Madrid, got to get them notched up, then Fegrgie will retire at the end of next season at which time Jose will be off to United. Perhaps bringing Ronaldo back with him. Well, maybe not.

being a crap football manager would be great, sacked and get your remaining contract in a lump sum, a good couple of mill in the hipper, then get another top paying job, be crap there and the cycle starts again!!

we can get forth if:

- city/spurs draw

- both lose their last game

- we win our next two

id say we have a 1/50 chance of it happening.

The last week seems to have dragged on forever.

Really looking forward to these games though I feel it's not going to be the result I wanted.

Also got to remember that Sunderland have not lost much at home. Last time Liverpool did United a similar favour, United didn't take the chance and lost their game much to the relief of the Pool fans.
