iiyamadude 6
I think you'll need to take your own/ Im hoping to venture further than my (admittedly fantastic) position of being in the middle of Nozawa / Shiga Kogen / Madarao / Myoko.

panhead_pete 27
Finally getting there after talking about it for a few years. Super cold dry air drying out my nostrils as I go up the mountain in a lift. Meeting new people and learning from them. Handing out treats to lifties. Sitting by the fire reading a book with a good glass of wine. Sitting on the top of a mountain and just soaking up the view. Getting a little silly with new friends after swearing I was going home after dinner........ Taking lessons, listening and getting better. Enjoying what a new country can offer me and absorbing that. Greenroome 0
Bravo Panhead! You've really captured the essence there. For me: Doing my best to make the bean-counters at Kamori Ski Company regret selling me a season pass that allows me to shred Sapporo Teine on work days and Rusutsu on my days off, for only 70,000 yen. I just can't wait. Last weekend I rode my bike up to Sapporo Teine just to gawk at the lifts and grassy slopes. I've already mentally mapped some tree runs!

(That said, if there's not a resurgence soon, this might be my last trip for a while.
