klingon 10
I presume he was talking about his humble (?) upbringing and rising to the position of being possibly the next president.
Tubby Beaver 209
I didn't know what video/quote you were talking about. Is it on Youtube?
klingon 10
Obama is about to take the stage at his convention - live. At the moment they are showing a video they have prepared to introduce him, so no it won't be on youtube. The clip of what he said however I presume is from sometime before. soubriquet 0
Harold Wilson came from nothing. How about Lech Walensa? Laughable hyperbole.

soubriquet 0
Yes indeed. The list must be endless, unless your vision of history stops at the borders of the USA.
thursday 1
"In no other country on earth is my story possible" Just shows complete arrogance, so proud of his own ignorance.
brit-gob 9
I quite like him. But I do really hate the cheesy, ott hyperbole that politicians and conventions in particular throw up. Make me want to throw up.
Tubby Beaver 209
It appeals to the US-masses though. Those who live in the middle of nowhere, eating their fast food microwaved meals in the trashy trailers, who truly believe that America is the land of opportunity!! God bless America!! bobby12 0
I had to give a presentation in the US and wanted an icebreaker for my introduction (to tell them I'm from the UK and show them where it is on this map). I remembered seeing some kind of map like this before so did a search for it on google and this is what I found, its on lots of sites.

Mantas 3
I wonder how many votes he will lose because Obama sounds so much like Osama? (and he's obvious indonesian terrorist connections).

gerard 6
Brilliant map but I'd probably tweak it a bit in a few places. For example, Ireland should be part of England and Los should be a state next to California. I like the funky stuff going on with Australia.
