Mantas 3
Every night, one cup of tea (wife's a Pomm)
Tubby Beaver 209
I love tea, I got a huge bag of teabags sent over as I like the tea from home as opposed to the tea here
NoFakie 45
Aye, maiden's water the tea here. Far too weak for milk tea. To say nothing of the places that give you coffee whitener. If you have to buy in an ordinary supermarket, the big ones have Twinings English Breakfast. That ones not too bad as milk tea. Pricey though.
Tubby Beaver 209
I also find that the tea here is very high in Tannin's, my teeth get a horrible gritty feeling after drinking it. I'm no tea snob, I usually just use regular brand teabags back home.

Tubby Beaver 209
What is coffee whitener made of??
NoFakie 45
I'm not tea snob either. I just like a good strong cuppa or five, which you don't get with Japanese teabags. We drink Tetleys coz the flavour floods out!
gurningbob 0
Love a cuppa that flavour needs to flood out.
Tubby Beaver 209
I like Tetleys, also have a soft spot for PG Tips, probably just because they like to dress chimps up in clothes and make adverts outa them!! Gotta love a chimp with clothes on, preferably smoking a cigar with a glass of beer in hand!
bobby12 0
I guess teabags are a classic example of how marketing/brand image is everything, cos they all taste basically the same. Personally I liked PG Tips cos of the pyramid shaped bags, but as a student I was happy with supermarket own brands. Now is it 100% Cappuccino - tea is for losers.

A big chunk of ginger is one easy way to make cheap supermarket tea pretty hip

HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
Having stopped doing my Nova thing I have more time now to enjoy my lovely cups of tea. It is far more civilized then coffee.
Weegeoff 0
We used to have a Teasmaker. In the morning it would make the tea and then the alarm would go off. But over the years it wore out So we bought a kettle for the bedroom. The alarm goes off I switch the kettle on. when it boils I make the tea and we have two cups before we get out of bed. the snowboarding vicar 1
A teamaker. My granmother used to have one of them. Do they still sell those? I want to use one of Wallace & Gromits inventions for making breakfast (and other stuff). Very useful.
big-will 7
I used to have one. I'm not old really. I loved waking up to the noise and smell.
