So I thought id throw together a picture TR of the riding here. We are still just getting started but we have some good trails kicking about that are distinctly Japanese. Thanks to Dan, AK77 and Stemik for the pics.

Found a cool steep trail that linked 2 small ski resorts together. Cool Bamboo grass at first that kept the trail nice and hidden.

Riding out to the trail head, Jer letting the locks flow in the breeze on the slow flats.

Ryan and Jer at the trail head.

A very Japanese Trail

A 5 minute push up after about 10 minutes of downhill.

At the top of the Highland ski resort or Highland one run wonder.

Coming out of the trail and into green sports.

I like this picture, Steve and I climbing and chatting on the way up Minekata.

After 20 minutes of single track we decided to take a picture on a fire road.

The climb up Aoni course, a cool village just outside of town that is protected. Only old houses here and terraced rice paddies.

Steve going through an old Gate that has been up for a few years.

The course has this cool section of natural banks about 3 minutes of back to back fun. We hiked the best one a bit to get some shots.

Stuntcok a few weeks back having fun on the Minekata single track.

It isn't half as good as the rides you guys are on but man I love my Rocket. It has addicted me to Biking like I never thought I could be. Having a good bike doesn't make you better but it sure does feel way more stable.

Nice FT thumbsup.gif

We've got a real nice set up for biking over here in Scotland. Last weekend, Bob, Danny & I rode the Pheonix Trail at Mabie Forest, part of the 7 Stanes Project - http://www.7stanes.gov.uk/forestry/INFD-5S3EZC - which I was blown away by. Pretty much 18km of singletrack, with hard climbs, flowing epic decents, plenty of technical rocky & rooty sections, berms, northshore features, drops and really varied scenery. I rode the Aokiko course in Hakuba (short technical downhill with lifts up) a lot before I left in the Summer, so it was nice to get out and ride something really long, varied and with climbs. A really great way to spend an afternoon, and the trail head is only 25 mins drive from my house, stoked! We didn't really stop much at all, but here's a few pictures.

another awesome day out riding, another 18km of fun. glentress kicks some serious ass, i found it much more technical than mabie... really had to pick lines and commit. mabie seemed more x-country, up and down, up and down. glentress was a big climb to the top, then super fun downhilling the whole way to the bottom, with lots of drop offs, berms, technical rocky sections, table jumps. the HUB was awesome too.
