Tubby Beaver 209
they are both shit, I wouldn't feed it to a dog!! An Aussie I used to work with brought a huge jar of vegemite in to work with him and he said it was chocolate spread like Nutella. So the Japanese staff all took a big finger full and ate it, you should have seen their faces, it was quality!!!
stemik 14
which came first?
stemik 14
just found out that... Warning, spoiler! Vegemite is made from leftover brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of beer manufacture
bushpig 0
so it can't be bad! Oh and TB, I wouldn't feed YOU to a dog! And I have done that to to poor unsuspecting Japanese!
thursday 1
I like both. I had Marmite in England first, so that's the original. Vegemite was made in Australia cos part of the punishment for being a criminal was the depravation of Marmite on your forced emmigration.
spook 0
i like vegemite. i find marmite too sweet, but i guess it's a childhood preference that continues into adulthood i don't mind bovril on a nicely buttered english muffin either. mmmm, with a hot cup of milo after a surf on a cold winters morning
indosnm 0
Vegemite hands down but I was brought up on it. Same as Holdens, But I do think they and it are much better! My kids love it and wife does too.. I can dip my finger in a eat it like chocolate! I've done the "nutella" trick to Japanese too! Who hasn't? Funny when they show it on TV giving people spoonfuls of it

spook 0
they shouldn't have tasered that dude at the uni, they should have just fed him vegemite
Red Indian Chief Tom Rubber 0
Never tried vegemite but I was repulsed by Marmite when I smelt it - didn't get much closer to my mouth than that!
Domokun_72dpi 0
Promite spreads the others away (god thats a corny line). Oh, and from wikipedia, so U know it is true lol: Quote: Promite has a sweeter taste, darker colour and a softer, more spreadable texture than Vegemite. Did you know marmite has been around since 1902? Their Marketing is "Love it or hate hate it" , which pretty much sums it up. Brilliant website too: http://www.marmite.com/ Aaah. Me, I prefer Peanut Butter as well.

Yeah the Marmite adverts back home were pretty funny/gross, they would have people in a bath full of it, smothering over their faces etc etc...with the tag line "You either love it or hate it" BTW BP cheers for not feeding me to your dog, its before the snow season and it would just be too cruel to cut off my life before I had a chance to ride again....maybe come May we can reconsider!!
