Kumapix 0
I did a quick search but found nothing pertinent. Maybe you guys know something off the top of your heads. A J-teacher wants to send a big box of stuff to her daughter in Australia. Is there a cheaper way to send it than with the post office? Thanks for the help
bushpig 0
not that I have ever come across mate... (admittedly I haven't ever really looked for alternatives)
AK 77 0
When i had to send stuff back to the UK the post office was significantly cheaper than any shipping company i could find. But if anyone knows of any cheaper companies, please post!
indosnm 0
It really depends on the size. EMS or that new service they have now is much cheaper than the standard service they only used to offer.
longboardsk8man 0
I used to use funabin-sen and found that was a pretty cheap way to get stuff home. Would take about 3 months but it saved me some yen for other goodies...
HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
What sort of cost are we talking funabin-sen? One day I'm gonna need that...
gamera 0
Not sure it helps or not though. I got what I ordered from Canada by airmail today. They invoice roughly 45 Canadian dollars (approximately 4600 yen ) for my 1.5kgs box. It was through post office, they said. I think OCS (Oversea Courier Service)costs a lot more. sakebomb 0
I have looked around and like Indo has mentioned..EMS is probably your best option! However I would be interested in cheaper alternatives

I have sent some car parts from the post office. maybe just under 1kg and the standard price was 8,000 and the EMS was 4,000. EMS was a 4 day delivery, standard was upto 2 weeks ??????
