Yuki's Passion 1
Im gonna have a nice run up the mtns today after school Where do you swim ger? At a gym? Ive been enjoyng the stairmaster and Xcountry ski machine (maybe like a nordic??) Those 2 machines are sweet and make your quads rock solid, not to mention work on aerobic, anaerobic, and VO2 max, and save your knees from constant pounding too. Only wish the TV sets at the gym allowed me to pop in a DVD and watch some skiporn
gerard 6
Hey CB. Ski porn would be a great complement to a workout eh! I was swimming on my lunch our a few times a week at the University pool where I work. Indoor pools aren't as fun but I should probably try to go at least once a week to stay in shape. LiquidX 0
I've not been too well this last week either. The plus point of that is getting it out of the way before winter
Yuki's Passion 1
cheers mates. Feel better day by day and am on some antibiotics so recovery should be quick. Yuki's Passion 1
ended up going for a light swim last night. Felt good to work out since it had been a week. Breathing wasnt so good but nice to stretch out and get the blood flowing again Davo, have the J-test this Sunday so how bout the following for a nice run? Can you make it down here or is it better if I go to yours?
gerard 6
CB, Do you have a humidifier? They kick ass in winter if you're feeling under the weather --great for breathing too. Good luck on the J-test. I was going to take it this year but I bailed out. I didn't want to fail nikyu again. Maybe next year.
Yuki's Passion 1
ger, no i dont. Itd be nice to have that/dehumidifier for the summer months. failed level 1 two times - hopefully 3rd times a charm but I wont count on it. Havent put any time into Kanji other than what I come across reading books/mags/emails/etc. Def wont have a good score on that part. Had a good swim last night and my breathing is back. Body felt charged and didnt have any shallow breathing at all
bushpig 0
boil your kettle up and let it sit steaming. Acts as a humidifier. I agree ger, it can make quite a difference.
Yuki's Passion 1
I have done that in the past - thanks for the tip mate
indosnm 0
You can get a cheapo humidifier for 2,000Yen. Kettle does the same but the rip off gas charges in winter! I'm back on the treadmill. Wife too. We are aiming at doing some fun runs next year. Orange, you've been running for along time and the best thing I could suggest would to mix it up abit. Go do some other exercise, leg work in the gym will get you ready for the slopes.
